He Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobilitythrough the General Directorate of Road and Rail Transporthas granted during this year a total of 9.6 million euros in aid aimed at facilitating the withdrawal of activity of 321 self-employed road transport entrepreneurs.
These aids seek to facilitate the abandonment of the activity by the carriers self-employed who wish to do so, as long as they have over 63 years or a series of vulnerability requirements are met, according to the ministry in a statement.
In this way, we seek to address the problem of the high age of a large part of the owners of transport micro-businesses and safeguard the health of the most vulnerable professionals. avoiding the economic loss that professional retirement entails and preserving road safety on the roads.

The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility promotes this policy within the framework of the Impulsa Plan, one of the measures contemplated in the Safe, Sustainable and Connected Mobility Strategy 2030.
To be a beneficiary of this aid, self-employed transporters must have a age greater than or equal to 63 years or having been declared a absolute or total permanent disability.
At least one of the public transport authorizations of which you are the holder must be in force at the time of submission of the application and until it is renounced as a beneficiary of the aid or, where appropriate, on the date of approval of the permanent disability pension in the degree of total, absolute or severe disability included in the corresponding resolution.
