Access a dwelling It continues to be the main concern for Spaniards, according to the latest CIS barometer. 30.4% of those surveyed consider that complicated access to housing is a national problem, since according to the National Institute of Statistics (INE)its price has increased by 70% in the last ten years.
The data indicate that, in all the autonomous communities, rent is more expensive than in 2007, and second-hand housing exceeds the price of 18 years ago. In this way, buying or renting a home tops the list of concerns of Spaniards. Behind, according to the CIS, are immigration and employment quality.
Faced with this situation, many people are looking for cheaper alternatives that facilitate access to a home. Prices in large cities are very high, so some opt for houses on the outskirts or in nearby towns.
